In an age, where coronavirus infecting masses was putting an extraneous pressure on the world, some wars were being fought in the name of religious sentiments. As proponents of Hindutva adequately term it as 'love jihad,' states were yet to fight a long battle with forceful Islamic conversion of Hindu women post marriage. Love Jihad is a conspiracy theory developed by proponents of Hindutva stating that Muslim men target Hindu women for conversion to Islamic culture by inadequate means involving seduction, feigning love, deception, kidnapping, and marriage.
As per report by Indian Express, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath welcomed the move by Allahabad High Court citing the means of laws to curb incidents of forceful conversion of Hindu women in the name of love. After a slew of measures enacted by Uttar Pradesh and Haryana governments to curb practices of love jihad, the Madhya Pradesh government invoked its firmness to frame tough laws on love jihad.
