Inauguration of 15-day long Saras Mela in the city of Patna came up with huge expectations for consumers as people would get to choose from 444 stalls of different handicrafts, handwoven and silk products belonging to Bihar and other states. What was special this time was the installation of 149 stalls being run by women self-help groups and participation of several departments of the state government including finance, health and education.
